Recessed light shade – Most modern ceiling light fittings are flush mounted fixtures. First to change light bulb with recessed light shade, turn off circuit at the fuse box or switch. Where glass world or the shadow of the existing fixture and remove the light bulb. Unscrew the cap nut in the middle of the fixture.  Disconnect the black and white wire. Keep fixture replaces up to outlet box and connect the ground wire to the screw on the connector. Pull the white (neutral) wire from the outlet box and remove the screw on the connector.  Drag the black (hot) wire from the outlet box and remove the screw on the connector.

Insert the new fixture up to outlet box. Screw center cap nut on the stud to secure the fixture and then install the adjacent screws. Screw the nipple of the world or shade (if necessary) at the stud. Install the recessed light shade. Restoring power from the fuse box or switch and testing the light.
