Build the rough table and stool top. Cut the hardwood planks to length. Run each adhesive joint edge by carpenters. Finish cutting table and stool top size, trimming all four edges to a smooth, straight line. Pull gently spinning saw blade over the upper surface in a gradual side to side movement.

The spinning blade should be parallel to the wood grain; this process will create and old, scrub planed or well-used look. Pre-drill four holes near the miter joint in a grid pattern. The two holes are in line with the miter joint provides the framework skirt attachment, while the other two are to attach the skirt frame to the table legs.

Sand skirt frame, plugs table and stool legs to 40 grit evenness. Applying uneven pressure to the surface, edges and plugs to mimic scrub planed appearance of the bar table and stool set. Drill two angled guide holes in each of the table and stool legs. Center table top on the legs and screw top to the frame using the 3-inch grabber screws. Apply the stain and varnish.
