Loosen the lamp from the wall. Take the lampshade and lamp from the touch table lamp. Take the bottom of the lamp by either remove screws or peeling the plastic base outside the base. Mark two hot lines on the touch table lamp with black electrical tape. A hot wire from the lamp plug is connected to the black wire on the box touch control.
Untwist wire connectors have three wires from the box touch control three light pipes. Use pliers to remove the locking nut that holds the yellow cord to the pipe nipple. Install a new touch control box in your touch table lamp. Install the yellow cord to the pipe nipple and replace the lock nut to hold the yellow wire in place.
Drag another cable connector on red or gray cable from the box touch control to connect it with the lamp wires marked with black electrical tape running up the pipe nipple. Press the touch control box in the bottom of the touch table lamp and replace the bottom of the lamp.
